Electrical Engineering Manager
Global Finishing Solutions, a leading manufacturer of paint finishing systems, has an outstanding career opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to provide leadership and direction to our Electrical Department to achieve our growth, quality and financial objectives of the company. This role will have approximately 8-11 direct reports including Electrical Engineers, Programmers, Cad Designers and our Electrical Panel manufacturing shop team working on projects of small to large scopes and determine actions needed within own team to execute strategy. This position coordinates all design activities of the design team, interfaces with key cross-functional groups (Purchasing, QA, Manufacturing, Sales, etc.), and reports project status for the assigned projects.
The Electrical Engineer Manager must be technically competent with ground-up industrial control system design involving P&ID schematics, control panel design, AB and Siemens PLC’s, AB PanelView, VFDs, hardwired control logic, PID controllers, and burner combustion controls. Startup/debug skills, ACAD design, and PLC programming experience is required.
Candidates for this position should have an electrical engineering degree and ten years’ experience in electrical engineering, programming, design, repair and analysis of industrial systems with minimum 5 years of experience as an engineering manager with direct reports in the development of electromechanical products; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with contractual related project/work environment, in providing engineering support to field service engineers, and in establishing processes/guidelines for electric design. Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards and IEEE/IES/API Standards. This position is located in Osseo, WI
GFS, a privately held, international equipment manufacturer seeks a high energy Controller responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating the organization’s fiscal function and performance. The Controller will have a diverse range of responsibilities that will require strong skills in GAAP, financial reporting, revenue recognition, cost accounting, project cost control, inventory control, enforcing policies and procedures, audit management, sales/use taxes, credit and collection and others. Controller will have 4-5 direct reports and responsibility for a team of 8-10 employees.
GFS is experiencing business growth with multiple deliverables and reporting deadlines, so candidates must have a strong accounting background that demonstrates a quick learning curve with the ability to drive change and higher performance simultaneously.
Candidates should have an accounting degree and Controller/managerial experience (4-6 years). CPA/MBA or progress toward them preferred. MS Office proficiency required.
MIG welding with ability to assemble sheet metal components from blueprints and position the weld-ons and beam pads as specified by the blueprints and shear lists. Must have mechanical adeptness and ability to operate necessary shop tools required such as a torch, beam punch, band saw, and drill press according to specified safety requirements. Must be able to work well with in fast paced, efficient manufacturing team, be thorough and detailed orientated.
Associate’s Degree and 1-3 years experience in a welding position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong oral/written communication skills.
1st /2nd Shift Experienced Sheet Metal Fabricators
Global Finishing Solutions is looking for experienced sheet metal fabricators to join our manufacturing team. Ideal candidates for these positions should have a basic understanding of turret, press brake, and shear operations. In addition, candidates should have extensive knowledge of blue print interpretation, bend allowances, and metal forming conformances. Basic forklift operation, preventative maintenance, and positive attitude are also a plus.
- Accurately read and understand a tape measure to the 1/32 of an inch.
-Plans and develops product/part layout as outlined on blueprints.
-Calculation of bend allowance and adjustment for varying material thickness.
-Verify that the blueprint and shear list information is accurate and correct.
-Operate all aspects of turret punch and/or press brake including tool setups and calibration
-Operate all aspects of shear including preventative maintenance and calibration
- Attribute to continuous improvement environment.
High school education or GED; 4-5 years of related manufacturing experience in steel fabrication or a combination of education and experience.
Industrial Sales Estimator
This position assists Territory Managers with sales, estimating, and continuing distributor support in a designated sales territory. This person prepares quotes, sales orders, and change orders through our current ERP system, assists distributors and customers via phone, follows-ups on leads and forwards to distributors, maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations, and obtains pricing for materials.
This position does require occasional travel. Bachelor’s Degree (BA) with a sales/marketing emphasis and three to five years related sales experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education is desired. The ability to multi-task, troubleshoot, and read blueprints/drawing is considered a plus. Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
Production Planner / Scheduling Assistant
Responsible for working with the Scheduling Manager to accomplish all scheduling related tasks. The department is responsible for ensuring we meet on-time delivery by completing the data entry necessary to schedule jobs through drafting and production; updating, editing, and coordinating various schedules. Close attention to detail and accuracy is critical; reviewing drawings to identify important details; creates reports on the current production status as well as planned production.
He/she will communicate with several departments to obtain information necessary to process all sales orders to ensure we maintain a high level of reliability for our customers as efficiently as possible. This team sets and adjusts plans, as necessary, and proactively identifies and acts on issues and opportunities as they come up.
Understanding of throughput and capacity planning. Coordination of multiple pieces of data to determine the best plan for the company and our customer. Strong computer skills, including Excel, Microsoft Project, and other programs are necessary.
Must have HS diploma and 3-4 years of scheduling experience; or equivalent combination of both education and experience. Must have strong organizational skills, communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task effectively. Production background with drafting, and manufacturing experience preferred. Apics training is also a plus.

Global Finishing Solutions is looking for a turret programmer to join our production team. Ideal candidates for this position would use DXF files from drafting to program turrets in the shop.
·Review blueprints for each job.
·Organize DXF files and the layout of parts onto sheets of steel and assign tools accordingly.
·Understand how the turret operates.
·Program the Turrets, Plasma, Beam Line and Press Brakes.
·Maintain the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
·Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal customers on a daily basis.
·Provide training to employees for back-up purposes.
Associates Degree in a related field and 1-2 years’ experience programming Turrets and Press brakes; or equivalent combination of education and experience to include reading and using AutoCad. Senior Account Executive
Under general supervision, manages and grows assigned territory or group of accounts. Achieves plan bookings and gross margin goals. Develops and implements plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory. Team sells with other internal support disciplines as appropriate. Auto Refinish Regional Sales Manager
Assist the distributors with pricing and configurations of GFS Refinish products for North America and work with car programs and strategic accounts to increase their sales volume and meet the annual sales objectives. The Regional Sales Manager will assist in the determination and formulation of marketing objectives, policies, sales organization structure, sales and marketing strategies and tactics designed to achieve optimum profitability and market growth. They will also be responsible for developing and managing the sales forecasts through analysis and interpretation of general economics, industry, marketing and sales data, statistics, additional sales and distribution channels, etc.
Four-year degree from a college or university in business or marketing, with five years minimum experience in a field sales environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in business to business sales is preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft office products. The ability to travel 25-50% is required.
Responds to the needs of GFS customers by performing numerous duties pertaining to installation, startup/training, service calls, maintenance and repair of items sold by GFS for the paint finishing industry by performing the following duties:
·Working from blueprints, drawings, schematics, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the mechanical or electrical systems on the equipment.
·Provide the customer classroom and hands on training in the operation and maintenance of the GFS equipment. This includes communication with the customer to help them understand how to use the equipment properly or to resolve problems related to the mechanical operation, controls, electrical, air replacement systems, and other mechanical or electrical related problems.
·Installing, testing, or repairing mechanical and electrical GFS equipment consisting of motors, transformers, lights, controllers, circuit breakers, heating/cooling units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment according to specified safety requirements.
Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical technical degree and three to five years electrical experience; or equivalent combination of both education and experience. Required to travel to the customer’s site frequently. The job will require domestic and international travel, overtime, working weekends, and may require extended long stays on the jobsite to complete the job
Field Install Site Supervisor
Supervise, participate in, and manage the performance and job responsibilities of GFS Install staff and subcontractors performing general tasks that require physical abilities and effort to install prefabricated sheet metal panels, light fixtures, machine guards, duct work, exhaust fans, air makeup units, metal roofing andsheeting including other numerous duties pertaining to installation of equipment sold by GFS for the paint finishing industry. Must have the ability to read and interpret company installation prints, project plans, and specifications. Will be responsible for ensuring and operating a forklift, scissors lift and miscellaneous manual or powered hand tools required in cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting, assembling, caulking, rigging, and disposal of refuse materials according to safety specifications. Must communicate and participate in site planning meetings that may be in person or by other media and include GFS staff (Project Management, Engineering, Design, Manufacturing), General Contractors, end Customers, Subcontractors, and other Contractors on site to ensure complete and successful installation of the product.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required and two to three years in a management position preferably within a construction trade with project management responsibilities or equivalent combination of education and experience. The job will require domestic and international travel, overtime, working weekends, and must be able to stay at the jobsite for several weeks or months at a time until the job is completed. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport and have the capability of passing the National Crime Information Center security background check.
Electro-Mechanical Customer Service Technician
The main objective of this position is to work with customers, engineering, and GFS sales to ensure that GFS products are operating up to the expectations for the customer who is the end user. Cases may include commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency response, consulting, warranty, repair and technical direction on GFS equipment. Candidates must be able to communicate with customers over the phone to help them understand how to use the product properly and follow-up to assure satisfaction with corrective action taken, work collaboratively with engineers within the GFS organization to identify electrical and operating problems within mechanical systems, are responsible for getting replacement parts such as VFDs, loop controllers, PLCs and motors on warranty claims, and document and classify cases and report to help understand and eliminate problems.
Associate’s Degree in the Maintenance field and 1-3 years’ experience within manufacturing setting andexcellent troubleshooting experience including electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, motor controls, and electrical components; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong mechanical skills and be able to read and follow blue prints, drawings, and schematics.
Electrical Controls Designer
The Electrical Controls Designer translates the ideas, rough sketches, and specifications of the customer/sales personnel into working plans which are used in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of company products by using Electrical AutoCAD software and, must be able to design and create electrical schematics, ladder diagrams for PLC and PC based systems, assembly, and detail drawings which illustrate the product design. The designer is responsible for creating bill of materials calling out quantities and special order items, used in the fabrication process, creating accurate load lists so the shipping department for shipping all components for each job, preparing and transmitting submittal drawing packages, including cut sheets, to customers and writing operating sequences of control systems.
Associates Degree in Electrical Design with 3-5 yrs. electrical designing experience and competence; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicant must be knowledgeable and have experience in AutoCAD Electrical software, and various PLC programming platforms with associated programming of operator interface equipment. Must have knowledge in NEC codes, and UL Standards. A good understanding of HVAC process controls is a plus. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft software products and have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
