Aerospace/Government Application Engineer
Provide technical support to sales and is responsible for developing the design criteria, system specifications, cost estimates, and written proposals as they related to Aerospace/Government paint spray booth markets. The position will need to be able to determine how GFS offerings fit into the specifications and assist sales personnel in determining customer needs and requirements. Candidate will also be responsible for quoting to customer supplied specifications/plans, insuring equipment concepts meet specifications, and/or identifies and itemizes the exceptions to specifications.
Candidate should have strong technical writing and communications skills as they need to effectively communicate to multiple disciplines internal to the organization. This position will report directly to the business unit manager.
· Determine the design parameters of the conditioned space- temperature, humidity, air quality, etc.
· Calculate the air flow requirements, cooling loads, and heating loads.
· Knowledge in HVAC related design work such as selection of equipment (chillers, fans, AHUs, pumps, sizing of ducts and pipes, calculation of static pressure for Fans, AHUs, etc) would be a benefit.
· Ability to read and understand tender drawings and specifications.
· Interface with Sales, Project Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical services and Purchasing on a regular basis.
· Recommend cost savings and value engineering alternatives for custom designed paint booths.
· Use computer assisted engineering, design software and equipment to perform tasks.
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology and five years’ experience estimating and preparing detailed quotations in industrial HVAC and /or Sheet metal industries or equivalent experience and competence is necessary. Previous experience working with industry codes as they relate spray booth/building applications such as ASHRAE, NFPA33, and UBC.


Electrical Engineering Manager
Global Finishing Solutions, a leading manufacturer of paint finishing systems, has an outstanding career opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to provide leadership and direction to our Electrical Department to achieve our growth, quality and financial objectives of the company. This role will have approximately 8-11 direct reports including Electrical Engineers, Programmers, Cad Designers and our Electrical Panel manufacturing shop team working on projects of small to large scopes and determine actions needed within own team to execute strategy. This position coordinates all design activities of the design team, interfaces with key cross-functional groups (Purchasing, QA, Manufacturing, Sales, etc.), and reports project status for the assigned projects.
The Electrical Engineer Manager must be technically competent with ground-up industrial control system design involving P&ID schematics, control panel design, AB and Siemens PLC’s, AB PanelView, VFDs, hardwired control logic, PID controllers, and burner combustion controls. Startup/debug skills, ACAD design, and PLC programming experience is required.
Candidates for this position should have an electrical engineering degree and ten years’ experience in electrical engineering, programming, design, repair and analysis of industrial systems with minimum 5 years of experience as an engineering manager with direct reports in the development of electromechanical products; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with contractual related project/work environment, in providing engineering support to field service engineers, and in establishing processes/guidelines for electric design. Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards and IEEE/IES/API Standards. This position is located in Osseo, WI


Purchasing Manager
Responsible for all company procurement activities including raw materials, equipment and supplies. Directs, supervises and provides functional expertise to the purchasing team. Prepares department strategic plans and establishes policies, systems and procedures to effectively control the Company procurement activities.
· Research and evaluate vendors to determine quality, price, reliability, and delivery performance.
· Assist with procurement on large or special projects, to maximize savings, timely delivery of materials and ensure manufactured product performance.
· Develop accurate specifications for buyout equipment and materials for specific projects.
· Communicate throughout the organization trends in the price of procured products.
· Ensure that the sales departments are apprised of price increases or decreases that may affect the cost of the manufactured product.
· Assess current procurement practices and policies to determine if improvements or changes need to be made to maximize effectiveness of the entire organization.
· Participate in “lean manufacturing” projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or comparable degree and five to seven years in a purchasing function with supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong negotiation skills, solid decision making skills, organizational skills and the ability to communicate with people throughout the organization and external contacts. |


Senior Account Executive
Under general supervision, manages and grows assigned territory or group of accounts. Achieves plan bookings and gross margin goals. Develops and implements plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory. Team sells with other internal support disciplines as appropriate. Effectively performs needs assessments based off specifications and/or customer input. The role will include reviewing cost estimates and co-authoring sales proposals. Works with operations, finance, legal and inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale. Follows through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion. Ensures smooth sales to operations turnover and monitors its progress. Assists in resolving installation, collections and other customer satisfaction issues as needed. Assists customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommends suitable resolutions accordingly. Prepares accurate and thorough sales activity reports and forecast reports. Participates in professional organizations, department meetings, trade shows and seminars. Keeps current on market, business and product trends. Continues to pursue in-depth product and service knowledge and acquire deeper selling, technical and financial skills. Develops and maintains contacts with architects, consulting engineers, specification writers, design build firms, and contractors, to promote company products and services.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/business field and ten years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Requires high level technical knowledge in custom engineered product. Experience dealing with Government and federal business opportunities.

Manufacturing Engineer Internship
As our organization continues to experience growth and is in the process of continuing to implement Lean Manufacturing, Continual Improvement philosophies, and a Quality Management System we would like to recruit three interns to both have the opportunity to develop and hone their skills as well as assist us through development and implementation. Interns will be exposed to a broad base of sheet metal fabrication and welding, process development, process implementation, and quality control functions. Interns will run initially from January, 2013 through August, 2013. These interns will be responsible for taking direction from our Continual Improvement manager, Quality Manager, and/or our Operations Manager and will require manual labor in the process of process development/deployment.
All candidates must be working towards their Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Manufacturing Engineering or similar degree from a four-year college or university |
