GFS Industrial Pre-Treatment Washers are used for cleaning and preparing substrates prior to powder and liquid coating, electro coating and autophoretic coating. Industrial Washers have also been used before or after machining or forming of component parts. Parts requiring high corrosion protection, such as exterior automobile parts, aluminum wheels, appliances and office furniture, often require multiple washer stages, as determined by your specific process. GFS has designed and built complete pre-treatment washer systems.
The following features are standard on GFS Industrial Pre-Treatment Washers:
GFS Industrial Washer housing is constructed of either 12-gauge mild steel or 14-gauge stainless steel, whichever is requested.
GFS Industrial Washers feature entry and exit vestibules as a means to control airflow and eliminate possible problems from leakage of saturated air into the workplace.
Holding tanks are double welded (inside and out) and fabricated of mild steel or stainless steel. Tanks extend out from the housing side to provide for removal of screens, pump mounting and access to tank interior. All tanks are welded and leak tested at assembly to ensure 100% liquid-tight construction.
In drain sections, decks will be furnished to allow solutions to drain back and return to the proper tanks. Drain decks are fabricated from 10-gauge steel with a 70/30 split drain. Hinged access doors at drain sections allow for convenient access to the interior working area of the washer.
Double sludge screens protect the pumps and spray nozzles.
Rapid fill bypass arrangement and automatic liquid level controls maintain solution levels.
Risers are fabricated from schedule 80 CPVC. GFS nozzles have full ball swivel joints for adjustability. Tanks include drains, overflows and counter-flow piping.
Heated tanks will be furnished with a high-efficiency gas-fired immersion burner.
Standard controls include a PLC-based control panel, gas trains, control thermocouples, thermometers and pressure gauges.
Stainless steel grating provides maintenance access and prevents parts from entering solution tanks.
